ALA uses modern technology tools — including artificial intelligence assistants — to enhance the quality, depth, and clarity of the work we deliver. We believe in being transparent about this. The judgment, context, and recommendations in every deliverable remain those of ALA; these tools assist in structuring, refining, and improving the presentation of that work.
Our standing practices:
No personally identifiable information (PII) is uploaded to or entered into AI tools — no names, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, account numbers, addresses, or other personal identifiers.
Materials used in AI-assisted work are limited to financial statements, business reporting, and strategic documents relevant to the analytical task — never personal records or identifying documents.
All AI-assisted work product is reviewed and approved by ALA before delivery to clients.
AI tools are used for analytical preparation, not for storing or archiving client records.
We evaluate third-party tool providers for their privacy and data-handling standards; the platforms we use do not train AI models on our submitted content, per their published policies.
Clients may request that their materials not be used in AI-assisted workflows at any time.
Clients in defense-related industries or with export-controlled business activities receive additional safeguards, described in our full policy.
